1. About these terms
Toolbelt Websites is a trading name of RIKKI WEBSTER LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 13001015. Our registered office is Greenacre House The Street, Hinderclay, Diss, England, IP22 1HX.
You can contact us by email at enquiries@toolbeltwebsites.co.uk.
These terms apply when you use this website, submit an enquiry, request a quote, purchase a package, or engage us to provide website, hosting, support, local SEO, digital marketing, or related services.
Toolbelt Websites primarily provides business-to-business services for tradespeople, sole traders, partnerships and companies. If a separate written proposal, order confirmation or service agreement applies to your project, that document will take priority where it conflicts with these general terms.
2. Services
Our services may include website design, website development, website hosting, maintenance, support, content implementation, contact forms, local SEO setup, Google Business Profile support, domain configuration, landing pages, website renovation, Google Ads setup, SEO services and related digital marketing work.
The exact scope, deliverables, timetable, price and included features are those shown on the website, in your package details, or in the written proposal or order confirmation we provide to you.
3. Packages and minimum term
Our managed website packages are usually monthly subscription services. Unless your order confirmation or written agreement says otherwise, managed website packages have a 12-month minimum term.
The minimum term exists because the website is designed, built, launched, hosted and supported with the cost spread across monthly payments rather than charged as a large upfront build fee.
After the minimum term, your subscription continues monthly unless cancelled in accordance with the cancellation terms shown on the website, in your order confirmation, or in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
4. Payments
Fees are as shown on the website, in your order confirmation, or in your written proposal. Prices are in pounds sterling unless clearly stated otherwise.
Payments may be processed through Stripe or another approved payment provider. We do not store full payment card details on our own systems.
By starting a subscription, you authorise recurring payments for the selected package or service. You are responsible for keeping your payment details up to date.
If a payment fails or becomes overdue, we may pause work, suspend support, restrict access to services, or suspend hosting after reasonable notice where appropriate.
If VAT applies, pricing and invoices will state this clearly.
5. Customer responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate business information, timely feedback, suitable content, access credentials, images, logos and approvals where these are reasonably needed to deliver the services.
You are responsible for ensuring that any text, photographs, logos, trademarks, reviews, accreditations, qualifications, claims, guarantees, pricing, service descriptions and other materials you provide are accurate, lawful and that you have the right to use them.
We are not responsible for delays caused by missing information, late feedback, lack of access, domain issues, third-party account issues, or failure to approve work in a reasonable time.
6. Content and approvals
We may write, edit or structure website content based on information you provide, publicly available information about your business, and reasonable assumptions about your services.
You are responsible for reviewing and approving website content before publication. Once you approve content or ask us to launch the website, you accept responsibility for the accuracy and suitability of the published content.
7. Domains, hosting and third-party services
Websites commonly rely on third parties including domain registrars, hosting providers, email providers, analytics tools, payment providers, plugins, APIs, security services and advertising platforms.
If we help you register, connect or manage a domain, the ownership and management arrangement will depend on what has been agreed in writing. Domain registration and renewal fees are usually non-refundable.
Where hosting is included, we will use reasonable care to keep the website available, secure and maintained. No hosting service can guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
We are not responsible for outages, policy changes, price changes, suspensions, verification delays, account restrictions or failures caused by third-party services outside our reasonable control.
8. Website updates and support
Your package may include a reasonable amount of website updates and support. This usually covers small text changes, image changes, contact detail updates, basic page edits and general support.
Unless included in your package or agreed separately, support does not include unlimited redesigns, major new features, complex integrations, custom software development, large content creation, ongoing SEO campaigns, paid ads management, ecommerce development or substantial copywriting work.
Work outside your package may be quoted separately.
9. SEO and marketing
We may provide local SEO setup, on-page optimisation, Google Business Profile support, Google Ads setup, SEO services or other marketing support.
We do not guarantee specific rankings, traffic, leads, sales, enquiries, revenue, advertising approval, cost per lead, or a particular position in Google or any other platform.
Search engines, advertising platforms, competitors, budgets, reviews, website history, market demand and customer behaviour are outside our full control.
10. Ownership, licences and website transfer
You retain ownership of materials you supply to us. We retain ownership of our pre-existing tools, systems, processes, reusable code, templates, design frameworks, know-how and materials developed independently of your project.
Once all agreed payments are made and your minimum term has been completed, you may use the final website design and content for your business, subject to any third-party licence restrictions.
If you cancel after completing the minimum term and all payments are up to date, we may provide a backup or export of your website where technically possible. You may then arrange your own hosting or ask another developer to manage the website.
Some features, plugins, licences, integrations, forms, hosting settings or third-party services may not transfer fully. We are not responsible for installing, configuring, fixing, maintaining or supporting the website after transfer unless agreed separately.
11. Acceptable use
You must not use our website or services for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, misleading, harmful, infringing, spam-related or malicious purposes. Our Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these terms.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of data, website downtime, search ranking changes, advertising account issues, third-party platform issues, security incidents outside our reasonable control, or losses caused by information, instructions or materials supplied by you.
Unless a written agreement says otherwise, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant service in the three months before the claim arose.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate services if you fail to pay, breach these terms, misuse our services, provide false or misleading information, act abusively towards our team, or if continuing the service would create legal, reputational, financial or technical risk.
Termination does not remove your obligation to pay outstanding fees, committed costs, or amounts due under a minimum term.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales.
