Fasthosts currently manages individual DNS records for supported domains through its Advanced DNS area.
Open Advanced DNS in Fasthosts
- Sign in to the Fasthosts Control Panel ↗.
- From Hosting & Domains, select Domain Names.
- Select the domain you want to manage.
- On the Advanced DNS tile, select Configure Advanced DNS.
- The Advanced DNS page shows the records Fasthosts is currently managing for that domain.
You may see A, CNAME, MX, TXT and other record types. Read What is DNS?, What is an A record? or What is a CNAME record? if you need the basics first.
Editing DNS records
Fasthosts' current Advanced DNS interface groups records by type and allows records to be created, edited or removed. Use the edit control only for the exact record you have been asked to change.
If the domain is not using Fasthosts for authoritative DNS, the effective DNS records may need to be changed at another provider instead.
Do not change unrelated records
Do not remove or replace MX, TXT, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, CNAME or other records unless the specific change has been requested. These records can support business email, verification and services unrelated to the website.
