Use this guide when you need to find the DNS records for a domain that is using GoDaddy's DNS service. GoDaddy can only directly manage the live records when the domain is using the relevant GoDaddy nameservers or GoDaddy DNS Hosting.
First, check whether GoDaddy is managing the DNS
A domain can be registered with GoDaddy while its DNS is managed somewhere else. If the domain is using another provider's authoritative nameservers, make the DNS change with that provider instead.

Open the DNS records in GoDaddy
- Sign in to your GoDaddy Domain Portfolio ↗.
- Select the domain you want to manage.
- On the Domain Settings page, select DNS.
- The DNS area shows the records GoDaddy is managing for that domain.
What you may see
Depending on the domain setup, the zone can contain records such as A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT and NS, as well as other record types.

Do not change unrelated records
DNS records can control more than the website. MX and some TXT/CNAME records may be required by business email or verification services. If Toolbelt Websites has asked for one specific change, leave the other records alone unless you have also been given instructions for them.
If the domain is not using GoDaddy nameservers, GoDaddy's own guidance says the DNS may need to be managed through the other DNS or hosting provider instead.
