Hostinger's current hPanel navigation depends slightly on whether you have a Hostinger hosting plan or only a domain. The important point is to open the DNS area for the correct domain before making any changes.
Open Hostinger hPanel
Sign in to Hostinger hPanel ↗ and make sure you are working with the correct domain.
Find the DNS records area
If you have an active Hostinger web hosting plan, Hostinger's current guidance uses this route:
- Open Websites.
- Select the relevant website.
- Open Advanced.
- Select DNS Zone Editor.
If you have a domain-only service, Hostinger's current guidance directs you to the Domains or DNS area, where you select the domain and open DNS / Nameservers.
What will I see there?
The DNS Zone Editor can show records such as A, CNAME, MX, TXT and other record types. These records can control different services, so do not delete a record simply because you do not recognise it.
For plain-English explanations, see what DNS is, what an A record is and what a CNAME record is.
Make sure Hostinger is actually managing the live DNS
If your domain's nameservers point to another DNS provider, that other provider may be controlling the live DNS zone. Hostinger can store DNS changes in hPanel, but those changes will not necessarily be active until the domain uses the relevant Hostinger nameservers.
Do not reset the DNS zone. Existing records may be needed for your website, email or verification services. If Toolbelt Websites has asked for one specific change, change only that record.
Official Hostinger resource
Hostinger also publishes current instructions for this area of its control panel. If the interface has changed since this Toolbelt Websites guide was updated, use the provider's own documentation as the authoritative interface reference.
