What visitors see during the build
Until launch, customers can continue using the existing website in the normal way. The replacement is prepared separately and becomes public at the agreed launch stage.
Avoid unnecessary hosting and DNS changes
While the new site is being built, avoid cancelling hosting or making unrequested domain, DNS or nameserver changes. Those changes can affect the existing live site or email before the replacement is ready.
What changes at launch?
At launch, Toolbelt Websites will advise on any customer action required to connect the domain to the new website. If DNS changes are involved, there can be a period where different visitors temporarily see different versions.
