Your hosting login normally gives access to the account or control panel used to manage the website hosting service. It is not necessarily the same as your domain, email or website-admin login.
Where should I look first?
- Hosting welcome emails. Search your inbox for the hosting company name, “hosting”, “welcome”, “control panel” or “account”.
- Invoices and renewal emails. These can identify the provider and may include an account-management link.
- Your password manager. Search for the provider's domain or company name.
- The provider account. If you know the company, use its normal account login and password-reset process.
- Your previous developer or agency. If they arranged the hosting, ask whether the account belongs to your business and how legitimate access can be recovered.
Hosting credentials can be different from other logins
Do not assume a WordPress login, Google account, mailbox password or domain registrar login will also open the hosting account. These are separate services even when one provider supplies more than one of them.
What if I cannot recover the account?
Use the hosting provider's official password-reset and account-recovery options. The provider may ask you to verify business or account ownership. Do not try to bypass account security.
