Before you send any login information
- If your hosting provider supports additional users or team members, creating a separate account for Toolbelt Websites is preferable to sharing your main account.
- Do not send passwords through ordinary email, SMS or chat messages.

- Do not change DNS, cancel hosting or delete existing services unless Toolbelt Websites has specifically advised you to do so.

Where can I normally find my hosting login?
Check the website of the company you pay for hosting, along with old welcome emails, invoices or password-manager entries. The login area may be described as a customer portal, hosting dashboard or account area.
You can usually provide the company name and your account email first without sending a password.
What if I do not know who hosts my website?

What information is useful to provide?
Without sending sensitive credentials through an insecure channel, it is helpful to provide the hosting company name, the account email address and the normal login-page address if you know them.
