Before you start
Make sure you are signed in to the Google account that has Administrator access to the relevant Analytics account or property. Use the Google account email supplied to you by Toolbelt Websites when adding access.
Add access in Google Analytics
- Open Google Analytics and select the correct account and property.
- Open Admin.
- Under Account or Property, open Access Management.
- Select the + control and choose Add users.
- Enter the Google account email supplied by Toolbelt Websites.
- Grant only the permissions required for the work being carried out.
- Select Add.
Account access or property access?
Adding a user at account level can give access to properties within that account, while property-level access can be limited to one property. If you are unsure which level is appropriate, ask Toolbelt Websites before granting broader access.
Do not share your password
User access can be changed or removed later. This is safer and more accountable than giving another person your main Google login details. See How can I securely provide login details?.
