This guide applies when the domain is registered with Krystal. If the domain is registered somewhere else, the nameserver change must be made at that other registrar instead.
Before you start
Have the exact nameserver details supplied to you by Toolbelt Websites ready. Changing nameservers changes which DNS zone controls the domain, so make sure email and other required DNS records have been considered before the change.
Change nameservers in the Krystal Client Area
- Sign in to the Krystal Client Area ↗.
- Select My Domains.
- Select the relevant domain, or open its More Actions menu and choose Manage Domain.
- Open the Nameservers tab.
- Enter the nameserver details supplied to you by Toolbelt Websites.
- Check each value carefully, then select Change Nameservers.
After the change
Krystal's current guidance says nameserver updates can take up to 24 hours to fully propagate globally. Different devices or networks can temporarily see different results while cached DNS information expires.

Protect business email
Changing nameservers can affect the website, business email and other DNS-controlled services if the destination DNS zone is incomplete. Do not remove MX, TXT, SPF, DKIM or DMARC records by trial and error. See Will changing my website affect my email?.
