When can a location page be useful?
A location page can make sense when a business genuinely serves an area and there is enough useful, location-relevant information to help a customer decide whether the business is suitable.
What should the page add?
It should do more than swap one town name for another. Useful content might explain the services offered there, the real coverage area, relevant examples of work, travel or availability considerations, and clear contact information.
Avoid doorway-style pages
Google's spam policies warn against substantially similar pages created to rank for specific regions or cities while funnelling people to the same destination. Toolbelt Websites does not recommend generating dozens or hundreds of cloned town pages.
Do I need a page for every town?
No. Focus on genuinely important areas where the business actually works and where a useful page can earn its place. See Can my website target multiple locations?.
