Toolbelt Websites carries out the technical launch checks, so you are not expected to become the website tester. It is still useful to review the live site from a customer's point of view.
Customer post-launch checklist
- Homepage: confirm the main page loads and the business name and key message look correct.
- Service pages: open the important services customers are likely to use.
- Contact details: check the phone number, email/contact information and business details shown on the site.
- Contact form: send a sensible test enquiry if a form is present.
- Buttons: test important calls to action, click-to-call links and WhatsApp if it is included.
- Mobile: open the website on a phone and make sure the main content and navigation look right.
- HTTPS: confirm the site opens over
https://. - Content: report any obvious spelling error, outdated opening hours or incorrect business information you notice.
What do I not need to check?
You do not need to inspect server configuration, DNS records or other technical launch settings. Toolbelt Websites handles the technical verification relevant to the website service.
What if I still see the old website?
Try a private/incognito window or another network first. DNS or caching can temporarily cause different devices to show different versions. See Why is my old website still showing?.
What if something looks wrong?
Tell Toolbelt Websites what you are seeing, which page it is on and which device/browser you are using if known. Avoid changing DNS or hosting settings yourself while the issue is being investigated.
As part of the launch check, open the main domain and a few key pages, confirm HTTPS loads correctly and test the main contact route. If the launch involved DNS changes, another device or network may update at a different time, so brief differences immediately after launch do not always mean the launch has failed.
