Know a good trade business whose website lets them down? Introduce them to Toolbelt Websites and earn £50 for every eligible referral that becomes a qualifying customer.
There are plenty of excellent trade businesses doing brilliant work every day, but their websites do not always reflect the quality of the business behind them.
Plumbers, electricians, carpenters, roofers, scaffolders and other tradespeople often have websites that were built years ago and have simply aged badly. Some look dated. Some are awkward on a phone. Others make it harder than it should be for a customer to understand the business or get in touch.
Toolbelt Websites exists to change that. We help tradespeople get online with a professional website that properly represents their business, then guide them through the process from start to finish. No unnecessary technical jargon. No handing them a website and disappearing.
We build it, manage it and help make sure their website works for their business — not the other way around.
If you know a good trade business that deserves a better website, introduce us.
You do not need to become a salesperson or reseller.
If someone in your network could genuinely benefit from Toolbelt Websites, point them in our direction. We will talk to them, understand what they need and look after the website process ourselves.
If your introduction becomes an eligible paying customer, you earn a £50 referral reward. Straightforward introductions. Clear rules. No commission ladders or complicated targets.
Apply once, get approved, then start introducing suitable UK trade businesses.

The programme rewards genuine introductions to businesses that could actually benefit from Toolbelt Websites. The rules are deliberately clear so everyone knows where they stand.
We do not pay a reward the moment somebody signs up. That would make the programme easy to abuse. Instead, a referral has to become a genuine paying customer and remain in good standing through a validation period.
Your referred business becomes a new paying Toolbelt Websites customer.
The second successful customer payment is the milestone that starts reward validation.
The account must remain eligible with no cancellation, refund, chargeback or payment failure during this period.
Once the full 60 days complete successfully, your £50 reward becomes approved.
Your approved reward is included in the next payout run on the last working day of that month.
If your referral's second successful payment is received on 8 January, the 60 day validation period completes in March. Assuming the account remains eligible, the £50 reward is included in the payout run on the last working day of March.
Applications are reviewed by people, not automatically approved.
Our team will review your application. If approved, we will create your Partner account and invite you to complete secure onboarding before you start referring businesses.
No bank details are collected here.
Payout details will only be requested securely after your application has been approved.
These answers explain the programme in plain English. The Partner Programme Terms remain the formal agreement, but you should not need to dig through legal wording just to understand how referrals, rewards and payments work.
Individuals and businesses with a genuine way to introduce suitable UK trade businesses can apply. That could include customers, suppliers, consultants, marketers, business-network members, trade contacts or people who simply know good local businesses. Every application is reviewed before approval.
No. There is no joining fee, subscription or minimum sales target.
No. You do not need to be an existing customer. You simply need to be approved for the Partner Programme and complete the required onboarding before your Partner account becomes active.
No. Our team will review each application. We may decline an application where the proposed promotion method is unsuitable, the information provided cannot be verified, or we do not believe the relationship is a good fit for the programme.
There is no reason to collect sensitive payout information before we know whether an application will be approved. If accepted, you will provide your UK bank details through secure Partner onboarding before your account becomes active.
An eligible referral is a genuine new prospective Toolbelt Websites customer introduced by an approved Partner, subject to the programme rules. The business must not already be an existing Toolbelt Websites customer or an active lead in our CRM/pipeline, and the referral must not be a self referral.
No. Self referrals do not qualify for a Partner reward.
Yes, provided the referral is genuine, they are a separate eligible business, they are not already in the Toolbelt Websites pipeline, and you are not creating or controlling the referred customer purely to claim a reward.
If the business is already an existing customer or identifiable lead in our CRM/pipeline before your valid referral, it will not qualify for a Partner reward. The programme is designed to reward genuinely new introductions.
The first valid referral wins. Once a genuine referral is validly attributed to a Partner, another Partner cannot overwrite that ownership simply by sending a later link.
The referral attribution window is 60 days. Where the visitor has given the relevant cookie/tracking consent, a first-party referral cookie can help recognise a return visit during that period. Once a valid referral is attached to an identifiable CRM prospect, the Partner relationship is stored server-side and no longer depends on that browser cookie.
We will not use hidden workarounds or device fingerprinting. A valid referral can still be attributed during the same visit when the referral code reaches an eligible enquiry, and relevant enquiry paths can also provide a referral-code or Partner-name fallback. Cookie choices will be respected.
Once a valid referral has been attached to an identifiable prospect in our CRM, later visits through another channel do not remove that Partner relationship. The CRM record, not the browser cookie, becomes the source of truth.
You earn a one-off £50 reward for each eligible referral that becomes a qualifying Toolbelt Websites customer and successfully completes the reward validation process. There is no recurring commission.
No. The first payment alone does not qualify the reward. The customer's second successful payment is the milestone that starts the separate 60 day reward validation period.
It protects the programme against abuse and ensures the referred business has become a genuine customer rather than a short-lived or invalid signup. It also gives time for cancellations, refunds, chargebacks or failed payments to be resolved before a reward is approved.
If there is a cancellation, refund, chargeback or payment failure during the 60 day validation period, the referral reward will not qualify for payout.
After the customer's second successful payment, the reward enters a 60 day validation period. If that completes successfully, the reward is approved and placed into the next monthly payout run on the last working day of the month. This means the actual payment date can be more than exactly 60 days after the second payment.
The initial programme will pay approved rewards by manual UK bank transfer to the payout account supplied securely during Partner onboarding.
No. There is no minimum payout threshold. If you have one approved £50 reward ready for the next payout run, that reward can be paid.
There is no programme target or artificial cap on genuine eligible referrals. Quality matters more than volume, and suspicious or manufactured referral activity can be reviewed or rejected.
Approved Partners will have a Partner area showing their unique referral link, referral activity and understandable reward statuses such as pending, approved, awaiting payout and paid. We will not expose sensitive customer payment information.
Typical methods include word of mouth, direct introductions, your website or blog, relevant email audiences, social media, existing business contacts and professional networking. The important thing is that your promotion is genuine, relevant and lawful.
Only where you are legally permitted to contact that audience. The Partner Programme does not give permission to spam businesses or ignore UK marketing and privacy requirements.
No. Partners must not bid on Toolbelt Websites branded PPC/search terms or use paid search in a way that competes with Toolbelt Websites for its own brand traffic.
No. A Partner can recommend Toolbelt Websites but must not pretend to be an employee, agent or authorised representative, make promises on our behalf, or misrepresent our pricing, services or policies.
Yes. A referral may be excluded or rejected where it is already in our pipeline, is a self referral, belongs to another Partner under the first-valid-referral rule, falls outside the attribution rules, involves suspicious activity, or fails the customer/payment validation requirements.
Yes. We may suspend or disable a Partner account where programme rules are breached, promotional activity is misleading or unlawful, referral activity appears abusive, or continued participation is otherwise inappropriate under the Partner Programme Terms.
They may need to change as the programme develops. Current Partners will be subject to the applicable version of the Partner Programme Terms and relevant notices. Material changes will be handled through the programme's formal terms and communications rather than quietly changing earned reward records.
The FAQ is designed to explain the practical rules, while the Partner Programme Terms remain the definitive agreement. If something is unclear before you apply, contact us and ask.
