Run one simple test
- Open the public version of your website.
- Complete the form using safe test information and an email address you can access.
- If there is a message field, write TEST ENQUIRY — PLEASE IGNORE so nobody mistakes it for a real lead.
- Submit the form.
- Confirm that the expected success message or thank-you page appears.
- Check the configured recipient inbox.
- If it is not there, check Spam or Junk.
What does the on-screen confirmation prove?
The confirmation tells you that the website accepted the submission. Receipt of the email is a separate check because mailbox filtering and email-service issues happen after the visitor has submitted the form.
Do not repeatedly submit the form
One or two controlled tests are enough. Repeated high-volume testing can create unnecessary noise and makes genuine enquiries harder to distinguish.
If the test still does not arrive

After a new website launch, this is also one of the useful customer checks in What should I check after my website goes live?.
