How do I give notice?
Send written notice to support@toolbeltwebsites.co.uk. Include your business name and the website/domain so the service can be identified clearly.
Monthly customers after the first 12 months
After the initial 12-month minimum term, a monthly subscription runs month-to-month. You can cancel by giving 30 days' written notice.
The website remains live and the normal managed service continues during that notice period. At the end of the notice period, the managed service ends. There is not an additional automatic 30-day grace period after a properly submitted cancellation.
Annual customers
Annual subscriptions renew for another 12-month period unless Toolbelt Websites receives at least 30 days' written notice before renewal.
Annual subscriptions are non-refundable once the annual term has begun, subject to applicable legal rights and any discretion Toolbelt Websites may choose to exercise in genuinely exceptional circumstances.
What if I cancel during the initial 12-month term?
If you choose to terminate during the initial minimum term, the contractual early termination charge is 80% of the remaining monthly subscription charges for the minimum term.
Toolbelt Websites may use discretion in exceptional individual circumstances, but that does not change the standard contractual position.
What happens to a domain Toolbelt Websites manages for me?
You own your domain. If Toolbelt Websites originally purchased and manages it for you and you leave the Toolbelt Websites service, we can transfer the domain to you or your chosen registrar.
A £50 + VAT cancellation-domain transfer administration fee applies in that situation. It does not apply if you remain an active Toolbelt Websites customer and simply want the domain moved to your own registrar.

What happens to the website itself?
The outcome depends on whether you leave completely or want to continue using certain Toolbelt Websites software/functionality under a continued website licence. Read Can I keep my website after leaving Toolbelt Websites? before deciding which route you need.
