Forms & Enquiries

Where do website enquiries go?

Understand where messages from your website contact forms are delivered and why the receiving mailbox needs to be monitored.

The recipient is agreed for your website

Website form submissions are sent to the email address, or appropriate addresses, agreed for your website. The recipient is normally confirmed during setup or before launch so there is a clear place for new enquiries to arrive.

For example, a plumbing business might choose an address such as enquiries@businessname.co.uk rather than relying on one person's personal inbox.

Make sure the mailbox is monitored

The receiving address should be a real, working mailbox that somebody checks regularly. A website can generate a genuine lead at any time, so an inbox that is rarely opened can turn a good enquiry into a missed opportunity.

Can the destination be changed later?

Yes, the destination can normally be changed if your business needs change. See Can I change the email address receiving website enquiries? for the safest way to request an update.

If several people need visibility, website enquiries may also be able to go to more than one appropriate recipient, depending on the website setup.
